Hugo França: The Story of The Tree
R 20th Century Publishing 2008
$60
Our friends R 20TH Century from NYC, sent us their newest book release this week, it was released to coincide with what I have heard was an amazing exhibit at their gallery (82 Franklin St, New York, NY 10013, www.r20thcentury.com), but unfortunately I am a slow-poke and only just got the hang of this blogging thing (late-blog-bloomer) and so this afore mentioned spectacular closed on May 31st - but wring your hands in frustration not, as this book is here to save your day. Delicious photographs and a brief essay describe França's methods of turning Brazilian rain forest tree debris into monumental pieces of furniture.
